Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts is declaring a pro-meat day in response to Colorado urging its citizens to eat plant-based

Colorado Governor Jared Polis recently marked March 20 as a statewide meat-free holiday named MeatOut Day.

The initiative was founded by Farm Animal Rights Movement (FARM) back in 1985. It aims to ‘educate consumers about the benefits of a healthful, plant-based diet’.

MeatOut Day

“Removing animal products from our diets reduces the risk of various ailments, including heart disease, cancers, and diabetes,” FARM states.

“A plant-based diet helps protect the environment by reducing our carbon footprint, preserving forests, grasslands, and wildlife habitats. It also reduces the pollution of waterways.

“Since MeatOut was launched, more than 35 million Americans have explored a plant-based diet and reduced their consumption of meat, dairy, and eggs. And, major food manufactures and national franchises are marketing more vegan options in response to this growing demand.”

‘A direct attack’

Whilst many commended the move, Ricketts blasted the incentive, claiming it is a ‘direct attack’ on Nebraska’s ‘way of life’.

According to The Guardian, he said: “If you were to get rid of beef in our country, you would be undermining our food security, an important part of a healthy diet. And, also destroying an industry here in our state that’s very important.”

Pro-meat day

Moreover, Steve Wellman is Nebraska’s agriculture director. He added: “When agriculture does well, Nebraska does well.

“Agriculture is the heart and soul of Nebraska, and our 45,700 farm and ranch families keep our state going year after year.”

Nebraska is now urging citizens and restaurants to participate in ‘Meat on the Menu Day’ on the same day as ‘MeatOut Day’.

It’s clear that those who promote animals as products are trapped in a deadly matrix that should be ended. Got meat? Got dementia, colon cancer, kidney and pancreatic cancers, heart disease, high blood pressure. Foremost though is that a moral, humane, just, healthy society can’t begin to exist while utter violence , Theriocide, is underway and the most grave moral schizophrenia enables unmitigated violence to animals while society knows fully that violence to animals is wrong, disordered, deformed and a red flag for violence to humans! This social pathology has shaped society and has given us diseases of the mind, body, soul, environment, and now Covid, a ZOONOTIC virus from animals passed to humans. Tragic that the good old boy mentality prevails over the health of our bodies, children, and shared planet, given that animal agriculture ( weird phrase when one thinks about it) is causing a mass extinction, rain forest depletion, deadly levels of methane gas causing rapid arctic ice melt and more.. Got meat? Got disease. It IS that simple…

It’s amazing how one component of the human diet, which has played a major role in human development and evolution, has suddenly become an object of vilification by a generation that has overpopulated and trashed the planet. Those same people may well ask themselves where they might get their nutrition without the services of monoculture, international trade, and the pharmaceutical industry, a luxury that is not available to millions across world, nor ever has been throughout history. A little humility, tolerance and understanding might be in order, plus some unbiased research.

What a load of crap you spill. Nothing but Fake News. The China Virus was formed in a Lab, NOT AN ANIMAL, therefore it is NOT a Zoonotic Virus, we have never in Human History, had a Virus to come from Eating Animals in the slightest, not even Possible for that to happen (seems you’re brainwashed, so why bother explaining to you?)

Secondly, There is no evidence to suggest Meat gives you Heart Disease, Cancer, or even causes Pandemics, that’s Baseless Claims by The Left to destroy and undermine, more less Control, the Entire Population. There’s ZERO evidence of that, it’s been debunked by LEGIT doctors and scientists that eat Meat, not Plastic or Salads for a living like the Vegan Scientists you got that from…

I wish Vegan’s/The Left would take a page out of their on book and quit spreading Baseless claims. Meat is good for you, Plants are good for you, fruit is good for you, we need it ALL. The Bible Clearly states what our Diet is, therefore anything a Scientist tells you about getting cancer from Meat or what have you, is FALSE and/or FAKE NEWS!

Hi Ross,

Thank you for your comments.

Please note that it is common knowledge in the scientific community that 3 in 4 new emerging infectious diseases are zoonotic (come from animals) Mainly our mistreatment of farmed animals and wildlife and our destruction of natural habitat and the natural world.

The WHO also states that processed meat is a class 1 carcinogen (causing cancer)

This is just a brief overview of the evidence that is out there on the matters you raised.
