I think it was a business and marketing decision so that their brand would be on two different shelves as the cow milk ice cream is often apart from the non dairy ice cream in stores. Marketing and Business people don’t think of ethics at all, they strategize for their share holders. When share holders leave in droves because of such a decision, then they will notice….but I doubt that will happen. It’s just sad. They probably are getting a super deal from the dairy industry on it’s hopefully last breath. IMO the only way to defeat the dairy industry and animal Ag is through consumer education, plant based CEUs for health care professionals and free plant based classes for restaurant chefs.

YES. The vegan ice cream market has become competitive. So now they decided on a unique marketing campaign / scam by humane- and green-washing their products. Many people are switching to plant-sourced dairy because they care about the environment and about the animals, as they’re finding out the truly horrific nature of animal dairy. So instead of making a better vegan ice cream and stepping up their marketing, they decided it was better to deceive the public. Humane- and green-washing are big business these days.
