As you say the NHS website does also have plant-based options for the meals they recommend, however they are all below the animal products. This does mean that they are however still promoting the consumption of meat and dairy for COVID-19 recovery.

Protein, vitamins, and minerals can all be derived without eating factory animals full of antibiotics and other drugs. A clean plant based diet should be encouraged by the NHS and not animals and animal based foods.

Not only that but five a day is recommended towards the end of the page. I wonder if the columnist actually read the NHS page
