Hi Rowland!

I agree, get the animals out of the factories. Thus, we could free up a lot of arable land, which is currently being used to grow crops for animal feed.

Would wildlife not help in the regeneration of soils? Wildlife that would be there, if we were not to clear land for farmed animals and crops?

Yes! Look up “The Centre for Regenerative Agriculture and Resilient Systems” California State University. There are over 40 farms in the UK using these systems to produce totally sustainable animal and plant foods. It’s now one of the fastest growing agricultural movements in the world. The link you provided is well known to me, since I don’t support industrial food production of any kind, I would merely consider it a statement of the horrendous problems that exist today. Please bear in mind that we have only 50yrs of harvests left on the major cropping areas of the world ( we are losing 23 hectares of arable land every minute 24/7 ). Get the animals out of the factories and back on the land to regenerate the soils.

I have in fact already replied to you on this same topic in reply to the PBN article on the documentary “ Breaking Boundaries” but received no reply.

Is there such a thing as sustainable animal foods?

This is a great resource to look into! 🙂

Supply sustainably produced food ( plant or animal ) and let the delegates chose according to their own customs and tastes.
