My Chemical Romance has launched a vegan makeup collection inspired by its 2004 album Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge

The American band partnered with cosmetic company Hipdot to debut the line – which sold out in just one day.

It features a double-ended liquid eyeliner, a nine-color eyeshadow palette, and an eye shadow brush. Prices range from $12- $24.

‘Cult-following’

According to Refinery 29, co-founder and chief executive officer of HipDot Jeff Sellinger said: “The rock music scene has always used makeup as a tool for further expression.

“The band’s history of bold hits and unique sound aligns with the sort of creators we at HipDot are, and so believe this would be the perfect partnership. We are excited to bring My Chemical Romance’s cult fan-following the homage they never knew they needed.”

The collection sold out in just one day.

Kesha

Last year, HipDot collaborated with pop sensation Kesha to launch her vegan makeup line Kesha Rose Beauty.

The star, who has regularly used her platform to advocate the end of animal testing, wrote on Instagram: “I think beauty is all about what’s inside your soul. I’m just an aura in a skin suit, but I do like to decorate it.

“That’s what this makeup is about. Perfect is not real and normal is boring.”

The collection featured a celestial-inspired’ eyeshadow palette containing 12 colors ($36), two double-ended liquid eyeliner pens ($28), and a lipstick and lip gloss duo with ‘color-changing formula’ ($26).
