Please allow each issue to stand on its own and do not join them like Siamese twins, which they are not! Specifically, it has happened to the women’s movement and BLM in that they have been co-opted by hate groups masquerading as peaceful & righteous. These opportunists glom onto and siphon off the legitimacy of the original group. I am not saying that is going here! But, let’s stop conflating issues and causes and allow each issue to be evaluated on its own merit.

First minor thing, there is no such things as “cis-gendered”, there’s “cisgender”. Secondly, Biden and the US are praised a lot here, yet there’s enough issues there, like trans people not allowed to do team sports with people of the gender they identify with to the point that they allow, uhm, genitals check on minors. This is just one example, you can find more if you look into it.

We faced off the BNP and C18, ran LGBTQ safe squats and events, hunt sab and ALF stalls at gigs and a whole lot more. It was a full time job. And we can’t face down the years, but a lot of us never stopped or gave up. Some went to prison and most of us found ourselves with criminal records. And we are not a part of our generation now as we were not then.
Great to see people keeping it going, but it started way back – we just keep the fight going.
