Jeremy Clarkson has been blasted for criticizing climate activist Greta Thunberg – by his daughter.
Clarkson criticized Thunberg in a recent column for The Sun, in which he described her as a ‘spoilt brat’ and said she should be more grateful to his generation.
‘Mobile phones and the internet’
“Pause for a moment to consider how soundly you sleep at night, knowing that adults are building and servicing and flying Sweden’s fighter planes to keep you safe,” Clarkson wrote.
“We gave you mobile phones and laptops and the internet. We created the social media you use every day, and we run the banks that pay for it all.”
Wouldn’t it be nice if all middle aged blokes could talk to and about Greta, the ballsy af teenager out there changing the world, like this ??? https://t.co/WQuAvkwISV

‘Wouldn’t it be nice…’
The TV presenter’s daughter Emily Clarkson later retweeted comedian John Bishop praising Thunberg.
In a dig at her father, she wrote: “Wouldn’t it be nice if all middle-aged blokes could talk to and about Greta, the ballsy af teenager out there changing the world, like this.”
Clarkson senior responded: “Wouldn’t it be nice if she learned some manners.”
To which his daughter concluded: “A woman doesn’t need to be polite to make a point.”
Here we go again…
As you may have noticed, the haters are as active as ever – going after me, my looks, my clothes, my behaviour and my differences.
They come up with every thinkable lie and conspiracy theory. (Thread->) pic.twitter.com/5rS2VpZj00— Greta Thunberg (@GretaThunberg) September 25, 2019
Haters
Greta Thunberg recently hit back at these kinds of critics – saying she doesn’t understand why adults criticize her for her looks, for promoting science, and for having Asperger’s syndrome.
“Here we go again… As you may have noticed, the haters are as active as ever – going after me, my looks, my clothes, my behavior, and my differences. They come up with every thinkable lie and conspiracy theory,” she wrote on Twitter.
“It seems they will cross every possible line to avert the focus, since they are so desperate not to talk about the climate and ecological crisis. Being different is not an illness, and the current, best available science is not opinions – it’s facts.
“I honestly don’t understand why adults would choose to spend their time mocking and threatening teenagers and children for promoting science when they could do something good instead. I guess they must simply feel so threatened by us.”
