Beauty guru and internet personality James Charles has described cow’s milk as ‘gross’.

The make-up artist made the comment in his latest YouTube video, where he tries to bake a cake without using a recipe.

‘It’s gross’

“We did have to make a few substitutions,” Charles says to his 25.5 million subscribers. “We don’t have milk in this house because none of us drink it, it’s gross. [But], I have oat milk.”

However, the star also dairy butter and eggs in the cake, making it unsuitable for vegans.

‘We don’t have milk in this house because none of us drink it – it’s gross’.

Is James Charles vegan?

Despite his aversion to cow’s milk, James Charles regularly consumes animal products such as meat in his YouTube vlogs.

However, back in 2017, he tweeted: “Cutting cheese out of my diet has made my skin a million times better. I try to not eat it anymore.”

More recently, the star said he is ‘almost positive’ that he’s lactose intolerant.

“I’ve been avoiding coming to terms with this for years now,” he said online. “But, I can no longer ignore the acidic farts and explosive diarrhea every time I consume a milk product.”
