TikTok star That Vegan Teacher is urging Jame Oliver to go vegan.

The vegan advocate recently posted a video of her singing to her 1.7 million followers, asking the celebrity chef to ‘please be vegan from now on’.

That Vegan Teacher, aka Kadie Karen Diekmeyer, also tagged Gordon Ramsey and his daughter Tilly in the video – which condemns the culling of pigs for ham.

Diekmeyer is also wearing a t-shirt emblazoned with the slogan ‘vegan donut’ after Ramsay gave her the nickname in a previous video.

Despite That Vegan Teacher’s popularity – some of her content has stirred controversy online.

Most of the criticism comes from Diekmeyer’s comparison of animal agriculture to the Holocaust. As well as her use of terms such as ‘meat is murder’.

Earlier this year, she came under fire for arguing that ‘coming out’ as a vegan is ‘more special’ than coming out as gay.

“Coming out as a vegan animal rights activist, as someone who cares beyond themself, is much more special than it is to come out as a member of the LGBTQ community,” she said.

“Coming out as a member of the LGBTQ community is an entirely selfish act. It’s talking about you only. It’s not talking about the things you’re going to do to better the world.”

Jamie Oliver

Back in 2019, Oliver said it would be ‘brilliant’ if schools in the UK ditched meat from their menus.

He told The Herald Scotland: “The idea of schools going veggie is a brilliant idea. It would save loads of money.”

Oliver also said that he would lobby prime minister Boris Johnson in a bid to improve child public health. “Is child health a central pillar of Britain now and in the future? Yes,” he said.

“The biggest morally wrong thing we have to deal with right now is that too many times, the better or healthier option is too expensive. We definitely need governments around the world to subsidy better food.

“Generally, what a child and what a family needs is the same as what the planet needs… More veg, more nuts, more seeds, more legumes. If I had a magic wand, I’d love to go to David Attenborough and say, ‘Can we do a show called My Health. My Planet?’ Because I think that’s the conversation now.”

I have been vegan for over 35 years. The hospital tests concluded I had the body of a 42 year old. I’m 56.
Oh, and I understand grammar. “Bunch of hogwash”? How is that possible?
